Mountain is a legendary rock band that emerged in the late 1960s and played a significant role in shaping the landscape of hard rock and heavy metal music. Known for their powerful sound, electrifying performances, and virtuosic musicianship, Mountain became a prominent force in the music industry during their heyday.

The band was formed in 1969 by Leslie West (guitar and vocals) and Felix Pappalardi (bass and vocals), both of whom had previously been members of the band Cream. They were joined by Corky Laing (drums) and Steve Knight (keyboards) to complete the lineup. With their diverse musical backgrounds and influences, Mountain aimed to create a fusion of blues, rock, and psychedelic elements that would set them apart.
